Description

Ding, Fubao, Zi lóu guoyuán liang weng guxi zhùshòu quán tie, 1950, 78 pages, softcover, with traditional stitched binding (xian zhuang), Chinese text. Wonderfully done rubbings of many rare Chinese and a few Japanese coins. Seems to be a small production run due to the high-quality printing, ex. H. F. Bowker Numismatic Library. Howard Franklin Bowker (1889-1970) was a numismatist and philatelist, collecting and specializing in Chinese coins, stamps and banknotes. He created the first bibliography of Western language publications on East Asian numismatics. Ding was a key figure in the world of Chinese numismatics, and was President of the China Numismatic Society (Zhongguo quanbi xueshe) from 1940.
