Cannito Collection. The ruler is entitled amir al-gharb, "amir of the west", i.e., of the Portuguese district of Algarve. It is now presumed that the actual mint was located at Niebla (Labla in Arabic), near the city of Huelva in Spain, near the border with Portugal.
