Description

YUAN: Da Yuan, 1310-1311, AE 10 cash (23.39g), H-19.46, ta üen tong baw in Mongol 'Phags-pa script (da yuan tong bao in Chinese), large flan, ex Jim Farr Collection. Külüg Khan (Da Yuan), born Khayishan, meaning "wall" in Mongolian, was an Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, and is regarded as the seventh Great Khan of the Mongols in Mongolia. His name means "warrior Khan" or "fine horse Khan" in the Mongolian language.
