OLYMPIC MEDALS. SWEDEN. Stockholm Olympic Participants White-Metal Medal, 1912. CHOICE MINT STATE.
50.9 mm. Gadourey-2. Plain edge. Described as zinc by Gadourey, but probably more accurately described as pewter or white metal. Semi-reflective due to a thin layer of likely mint-applied lacquer with a pearl-gray finish and a touch of reddish-violet coloration in the deeper recesses from boxed storage. Housed in its original green and violet fitted case with the Stockholm Olympic logo and MINNESMEDAL on the lid. The lid is no longer attached to the base of the box, and there is one small cardboard flap missing, but what remains is in excellent condition and presents very well.
