HADRIAN, A.D. 117-138. Egypt, Alexandria. BI Tetradrachm, Dated RY 12 (A.D. 127/8). NGC Ch F.
RPC-5714; Dattari (Savio)-1476; K&G-32.456. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; Reverse: Sarapis seated left on throne, holding scepter; to left, Kerberos seated left; L ∆ω∆ЄKAT (date) around. Though a fairly well circulated example, this piece nevertheless offers a charming portrait of Hadrian, the third in the era of the "five good emperors."
