BASIL I THE MACEDONIAN WITH CONSTANTINE, 867-886. AV Solidus, Constantinople Mint, 871-886. NGC EF. Edge Bend, Scuffs.
S-1704. Obverse: Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne; Reverse: Crowned facing busts of Basil, wearing loros, and Constantine, wearing chlamys, holding between them a patriarchal cross. Despite its minor edge bend and scuffs, this nevertheless remains a fairly brilliant and attractive example of the type.
