Description

GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, ND (1544-47). London Mint; im: Lis. Henry VIII. NGC VF Details--Graffiti.
12.26 gms. S-2290; N-1824. Obverse: Henry seated facing on highly ornate throne, holding lis-tipped scepter and orb; Tudor rose below; Reverse: Crowned coat-of-arms, with leonine and draconic supporters. An impressive and RARE issue, this example offers a fairly solid strike and moderate, mostly even wear throughout. A few instances of graffiti are noted in the obverse field, to the left and right of the throne. Otherwise, an enchanting specimen with an alluring golden-orange tone near the peripheries.
Estimate: $10000.00- $15000.00
