GREAT BRITAIN. Noble, ND (1356-61). London Mint; im: Cross 3. Edward III. NGC MS-62.
7.66 gms. S-1490; Fr-89; N-1180/1. Fourth coinage, pre-treaty period. A remarkable specimen, this piece presents a great deal of lustrous brilliance as well as a solid strike for the type. It is difficult to imagine quality much nicer or more attractive. Struck only a few years after the initial (and most severe) bubonic plague epidemic had wiped-out nearly half the population of England.
