ECUADOR. 2 Reales, 1852-QUITO GJ. Quito Mint. NGC AU Details--Cleaned.
KM-33. Nearly fully detailed with a few trivial planchet flaws blended into both sides and pleasing luster remaining in the fields that is hardly diminished by a delicate past cleaning. Despite these minor imperfections, VERY RARE in this overall quality, and among the finest we have seen. Sold with a Freeman Craig envelope that notes this coin is "vastly superior to the KM plate coin and the first nice one recalled since Maulme (sold by Henry Christensen in 1981) 30 years ago."
