S-1587; RSC-33; RIC-482. Obverse: Bare head of Augustus facing right; Reverse: Garlanded altar of Diana (Artemis) with two deer facing each other. A handsome and sizable specimen, lightly toned and well-centered on both sides, with a portrait of the first emperor that is sure to attract interest from history-minded collectors.
