Panola County was one of the many counties in the state to issue its own notes during the American Civil War and accounts for a particularly rare issuer. This piece shows a number of faults such as tears and internal impairments, but remains reasonably intact and accounts for what is potentially the first offering of this denomination from here since 2007.
