1947 Booker T. Washington Memorial. MS-67+ (NGC).
Generally bright and lustrous with just a dash of russet-gold in select peripheral areas. The strike is sharp throughout and the surfaces are highly lustrous with a pleasing overall appearance. A couple of minor bagging abrasions are noted on the obverse that serve to limit the already outstanding grade from NGC. This series is notorious for poor strikes and even poorer surface quality, hence demand for Gems is always high and finding superb coins at and above the MS-67 level is quite a challenge for specialists.
PCGS# 9408. NGC ID: BYJV.
NGC Census: 8; none are finer. The corresponding PCGS Population is similar at 6/0.
