Unfunded and non-loaded. This coin is the sole finest of this finish certified by PCGS. Similarly, this sale represents first time we have offered coins from this series since our August 2023 sale. An interesting and seldom-seen issue within physical crypto that was first released on the BitcoinTalk.org forum on July 12, 2016. They were issued in 3-coin sets containing examples of the gilt-brass finish, the polished silver finish, and the black-nickel finish. Originally, 100 coins were planned to be struck in each finish, but due to production errors and other considerations, far fewer were actually released. Remarkably, the same public address and associated private key were used for all three coins in each set. Therefore, it is not recommended that these are ever funded with actual cryptocurrency. If one of the three coins in the set is ever peeled or compromised, the other two would also be effectively compromised. Even so, this remains an elusive series and examples are rarely traded publicly.
