Description
1811/09 Capped Bust Dime. JR-1. Rarity-3. VF-25 (PCGS).
A handsome piece with champagne highlights over otherwise medium gray patina. Nicely centered in strike with well balanced Choice VF detail to both sides. Only marginally less scarce than the first year 1809, the 1811/09 is among the more elusive issues of the Capped Bust dime type with only 250 to 350 coins believed extant in all grades.
