"1783" (1895) Society of the Cincinnati Medal. Dies Engraved by Victor David Brenner. Smedley-17. Silvered. Mint State.
45 mm. A bronze (unsilvered) example from these exact dies realized $575 in our (Stack's) January 2005 Ford VII sale, lot 203, despite being cleaned at one time. A bronze example of superficially similar design realized $960 as lot 1043 in our November 2021 Baltimore Auction. This one is far nicer than the Ford specimen and worthy of a premium.
