1840 William Henry Harrison Campaign Medal. DeWitt-WHH 1840-1. White Metal. Choice Very Fine.
43.8 mm. Pierced for suspension, as with others seen. A very impressive medal, distinctive in both size and design. Smooth pewter gray with just a trace of light pesting that appears glossy and completely non-threatening. Produced for the Young Men's Harrison Convention, held in Baltimore on May 4th, 1840, an apparent Whig rally intended to generate support among young voters.
