"1797" (ca. 1816) Halliday Medal. Musante GW-57, Baker-70. White Metal. Plain Rims. AU-50 (PCGS).
53.9 mm. 804.3 grains. Once mounted at 12 o'clock, but the mount is now lost. Medium gray patina is fairly consistent throughout, with gentle even pesting visible under close inspection, but without often-seen unsightly localized eruptions. With the unusual edge mount, this piece clearly has an interesting history as an example once worn as an adornment by someone for some purpose, though this will remain shrouded in mystery.
