Description

"1631" (early 20th century) Cardinal Richelieu Medal. Leroux-302. Silver. MS-62 (PCGS).
53.4 mm. 1053.3 grains. Gloriously reflective brilliant silver gray with a subtle golden tone. Boldly lustrous and struck in impressive relief. Only trivial wispy hairlines are seen here and there, and the visual appeal exceeds the assigned grade. The obverse die shows some rust, the reverse die shows none.
From the Joe Foster Collection. Earlier ex Warren Baker, April 2005.

Estimate: $200
