Undated Massachusetts Militia Decoration. Bronze.
85 mm x 112.5 mm, decorative arched top and bottom. Massachusetts Arms with standing Indian surrounded by wreathed border. Pierced twice each at left and right (latter joined into one) with solder in opposing areas on back. There is also a bronze sleeve for mounting at top back. Obviously once mounted, although to what we can only guess. The standing Indian motif makes this piece desirable for inclusion alongside a set of Massachusetts state coppers.
