HGC-6, 910; Pr-1695A. Struck in the name of Alexander III 'the Great.' Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding scepter and eagle; in left field, Arion, holding kithara, on dolphin right above prow left. AVERY RARE issue, with just one published example (cited by Price) and one other example found on CoinArchives (CNG Auction 123, lot #126). Circulated and showing some marks and encrustations, but still quite handsome on its extremely broad flan with golden-gray tone.
