Description

DENMARK. Gold Krone (Golt Krone) Klippe, 1564. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik II. NGC AU Details--Scratches.
Fr-23; Hede-5; Sieg-26; Schou-2; Bruun-4487. Weight:3.39 gms. Mintmaster: Hans Köppelin. Some light scratches but exceptionally well-struck and lustrous and excessively rare with only a few in private hands. This interesting klippe, struck during the Northern Seven Years War, was minted in the naval anchor forge on Bremerholm in only 600 specimens. The mintmaster, Hans Köppelin was transferred to Flensburg in 1566 where he acted until 1570.
