DENMARK. Hvid, ND. Malmö Mint. Interregnum (1481-1483). NGC EF Details--Environmental Damage.
Galster-22; Sieg-1.1; Bruun-3781. Decent example of this interesting type, struck by the privy council in the Interregnum between Kings Christian I and Hans. When Christian I died his Son, Hans was the heir apparent. Due to political difficulties, however, it was a few years before he could take the throne. Once believed to have been struck during the previous Interregnum, 1448, but it has long since been established that this coinage was in fact minted during the Interregnum between Christian I and Hans (hence the wrong date on the holder).
