STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. Government of the Straits Settlements. 10 Dollars, 1931. P-18a. PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.
Serial number A/20 39432. Green on multicolour, George V at right. A superb example of this first year of issue with the highly sought after EPQ qualifier! Pick 18a encompasses the four years form 1931 to 1934 with a total of 476 notes graded and of this relatively small number only 12 have obtained the EPQ status. Even if we assume the spread is not even, because the other dates are scarcer, it would still be safe to assume only a few 'EPQ' notes for each year.
