RUSSIA--EAST SIBERIA. Siberian Provisional Administration. 5000 Rubles, 1920. P-S1194b. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
The highest denomination printed by the Siberian Provisional Administration. Uniface. Light signs of circulation along with fresh paper and strong originality. Mounting remnants as mentioned by PMG are all that is negative about this note, but they really don't impact much at all. There are just three notes in the PMG population report, of which this is the finest. We sold the Extremely Fine 40 graded example way back in 2012 (the only other time we have sold this rare type) for $8,225. Do not be surprised if this note approaches that figure again.
