JAPAN. Great Imperial National Bank. 1 Yen, ND (1873). P-10. PMG Very Fine 25.
Okayama branch. A pleasing problem-free example of this important type from the Greater Japan Imperial National Bank. The Japanese National Banking system was not unlike the similar system used in the United States. The notes themselves were printed in the United States by the Continental Bank Note Co. and were later overprinted in Japan in red with specific offices. Research continues to be ongoing into the various branches that issued these notes, but due to their rarity, notes from all branches have not yet been observed. This example from the Okayama branch. In the late 19th century, Okayama emerged as a significant regional center in Japan, benefiting from its development as a transportation hub and the growth of its textile industry.

出自大日本帝國國立銀行岡山支店，關鍵版式，無瑕品相，珍罕非常。日本國立銀行體系與美國的類似體系頗為相似，其鈔票由CBNC印製，之後再運回日本，加蓋紅色支店戳記。由於這些鈔票存世量稀少，有關其發行支店的具體信息仍在不斷研究之中，目前尚未發現所有支店的鈔票。 此張出自岡山支店。在19世紀末期，岡山憑藉其交通樞紐的地位和紡織工業的發展，逐漸發展成為日本重要的地區中心。此張見證了岡山當年的繁榮景象，珍貴非常。
