Enticing & Rare Ration 3 Mace from the Reign of Hsuan-t'ung

L&M-765 (this coin illustrated [6th/7th ed.]); K-1148; KM-Y-30; WS-1250; SGSC-142 (this coin illustrated). Ration coinage. A VERY RARE and seldom encountered denomination, this wholesome specimen is no doubt among the finest of type, with it being exceeded in the PCGS census by just one other example. Though evenly handled, all design and calligraphic aspects remain very clear and easily identifiable, with the dragon displaying a bit of a caricatured nature. Almond-gray toning dominates, with some darker hues nearer the peripheries for further character and flair. A great opportunity for the advanced collector in the Sinkiang series.
