Wonderous Near-Mint Copper 1/2 Skar from Tibet
CHINA. Tibet. 1/2 Skar, ND (1910). Lhasa (Mekyi) Mint. Hsuan-t'ung (Xuantong [Puyi]). PCGS AU-53.
KM-Y-A4; YZM-633. An EXTREMELY RARE Tibetan minor, this appealing example is sharply struck, with only light traces of handling and circulation. Our last offering of this type was over a decade ago, in our August 2014 Hong Kong sale, with only a few other scattered examples of the type appearing in the intervening years. As one of the most desirable of all Tibetan issues, this 1/2 Skar is deserving of much excitement and many bids.
