Wholesome "Double 49" Dollar from Sinkiang

L&M-843 (for type); K-Unlisted; KM-Y-46.5 (for type); WS-1328 (for type); SGSC-237. Type 2 ("1-9-4-9"). Variety with semi-solid knot (bow). The RARER of the two types for the Sinkiang Dollar, this wholly original example displays just the slightest degree of gentle handling, all while some amber-gray hues dominate and some enchanting brilliance even resides among the protected areas. A wonderful representative of this "double 49" type, so-called on account of the dual dates-- one in Arabic numerals, and the other presented through Chinese characters.
