Including a weathered Colonial-era piece from Maryland and a Lottery Ticket used to fund the construction of a canal through Washington to connect the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers. The canal itself would run through the area that is now the National Mall once it was completed and would be filled in 1871 after the Canal fell into disuse.
