1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 15-T, W-4825. Rarity-3. Straight Plow Beam, Leaning Head. Obverse Counterstamped AD Twice in an Oval Cartouche. Very Good, Environmental Damage.
129.5 grains. The mark is identified as that of Abraham Dubois, active in Philadelphia as a silversmith from 1777 to 1807, making this an interesting New Jersey copper than apparently once served as a useful test piece for a noted early silversmith.
