Wonderful and scarce color trial specimen from Turkey dating back to the early 1950s. Printed in reddish-brown, strikingly different from the issued notes, which were printed in dark brown on a multi-colored underprint. Three punch hole cancellations are seen. Fresh and with near perfect centering, this will no doubt be a welcome addition to an advanced Turkish collection. Please note that there were a number of different varieties printed of this design, in different colors, but none of the colors were even remotely close to the color seen here.
