A popular type from the Netherlands produced by Thomas de la Rue. The back features an image of the coal mines near Maastricht. While the mines are now gone at the time this note was issued they played a vital role in supplying the Netherlands with energy. This variety with corrected dates on front. Deceptively difficult type to find in original uncirculated condition.
