A lovely color trial specimen for this important issue printed in a predominantly red color, which contrasts well with the blue used on issued notes and is instantly recognizable as something special. Exceptional condition for any Iraqi color trial specimen, with bold colors, sharp embossing and fantastic originality. Color trial specimens from the Kingdom of Iraq are infrequently encountered at best and they tend to have been mishandled over the years, with Gems such as the present example deceptively scarce in the marketplace and eagerly sought out by specialist collectors. While PMG no longer publishes population reports for color trial specimens we do not recall seeing another Gem Uncirculated example appear on the market in recent history.
