One of the most well designed series of Asian bank notes ever put into circulation, the 1957 series of Indonesia features native animals. The 2500 Rupiah here features a vignette of a Komodo Dragon. While this is not a particularly rare type even at the choice uncirculated level, few are free of foxing, making Gems with original paper (such as this one) quite scarce.
