Coin alignment. The Control Code 26-R identifies this obverse die as being installed in the 26th row, right bank of the cylinder in the press. The purpose of the inverted S in the lower left obverse field - not present on all examples of this type - is unknown. Decidedly scarce, and a fascinating relic of this ultimately failed experiment on the part of the Mint - GM collaboration.
