Obverse: France awards a laurel crown to a figure of Industry and Arts seated on an anvil, Mexico pavilion and upper Eiffel Tower in the background, "MEXICO" above and "PAZ" and signature in the exergue; Reverse: Uninscribed cartouche at center, surrounded by laurel and oak wreath; legend above and signature at lower rim; Edge: Cornucopia and "BRONZE". Contreras also sculpted relief figures placed in the Mexico pavilion. An official award medal to facilitate Mexico's recognition of its exhibitors in Paris.
