Pleasing 1951 PRC 5000 Yuan

CHINA--PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC. People's Bank of China. 5000 Yuan, 1951. P-857Ba. PMG Very Fine 20.

Xinjiang Province. 123 Block. 7 digit serial number. A very scarce design issued predominantly in the Northern Regions of China, this note saw little circulation compared to other notes from the bank, making this one of the more difficult notes to find in the catalog. Camel, and tents pictured at right in the vignette. The reverse features an all blue design with Mongolian text at center flanked by 5000 Yuan obligations on each side that are surrounded by guilloche protectors.

1951年第一版人民幣伍仟圓。

新疆發行,冠字123,七位數編號。非常罕見的設計,專為中國北部省份發行,與其他中國人民銀行出品的紙鈔相比流通度較低,愈顯珍罕。駱駝、帳篷位於圖景右側,背面以藍色為主,蒙文居中,面值"5000"分列左右兩側,網紋花飾圍繞。
