SWITZERLAND. Battle of Sempach 500th Anniversary Silver Medal, 1886. PCGS SPECIMEN-62.
SM-106. By H. Bovy. Diameter: 43mm. Obverse: Soldier wearing medieval armor standing facing, head turned slightly left, clutching spears; around, ornate portico decorated with garland bearing two dates in Roman numerals (1386 & 1886); Reverse: Greek cross, with the coats-of-arms of Luzern, Uri, Schwyz, and Unterwalden in angles. Gunmetal gray toning, with some enchanting brilliance in the fields.
