GREAT BRITAIN. Harrison Sovereign Coin Scale, ND (ca. 1800s).
95 mm x 19 mm x 13 mm. Brass scale for the purpose of weighing and authenticating Sovereigns and Half Sovereigns. "BUSH'D" and a crown are engraved upon the counterweight, and "HARRISON" upon the horizontal beam. "SOVEREIGN WARRANTED" and "SOVEREIGN 1/2" are inscribed on the two pans for their respective coins. Another crown is inscribed in the base, with "SOVEREIGN WARRANTED" surrounding.
