Goppel-314; Whiting-418. Diameter: 45 mm. By Peter Paul Werner. Commemorates the bicentennial of the presentation of the tenets of the new Lutheran faith to the Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Augsburg on June 25, 1530. Obverse: Conjoined busts of Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon right; Reverse: The reading of the statement of the Lutheran faith to Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Augsburg. Includes two illustrated discs within depicting scenes from the life of Martin Luther. Four pieces in total, disassembled within box. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
