1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 33.34-W.2, W-3845. Rarity-5+. Draped Bust Left. VF-30 (PCGS).
139.9 grains. Glossy medium brown with subtle nuances of rose and pale blue-green. Microporous but glossy. A tiny natural rim clip over RI and a small bump over C of AUCTORI. Slightly off center, but without major losses aside from about half of the date digits which is fairly normal for this variety. A couple of small scratches are noted on the obverse and there is a small natural fissure though the E of ET LIB. Late die state with obverse waviness and peripheral weakness due to lapping as well as a crack bisecting the die. Probably in the Condition Census as suggested by Michael Hodder and Robert Martin.
PCGS# 686335.
