1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 33.28-Z.16, W-3770. Rarity-4+. Draped Bust Left, Snipe Nose. VF-25 (PCGS).
127.8 grains. Granular light steel brown with mottled deep tan, but not with a dull appearance. Nicely centered with good peripheral detail. The die sate is not as late as seen on the 33.28-Z.11 in the previous lot, which is from the same obverse, but still with a very pronounced "snipe nose" break.
PCGS# 686385.
From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier ex Bowers and Merena via direct sale, date unrecorded; Jim LaSarre, via John Agre and Dave Wnuck (Coin Rarities Online), June 2006.
