Distinctive Miller 1.3-L
Six-Pointed Star
1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 1.3-L, W-2735. Rarity-6-. Mailed Bust Right, Six-Pointed Star. Fine-12 (PCGS).
108.1 grains. Uniform light steel brown. Somewhat granular with areas of slightly more aggressive roughness and shallow pitting. No major planchet flaws, however, and just a scattering of small handling marks and nicks, the most prominent being just right of the effigy's chin. Fairly well centered on a seemingly compact flan, though the obverse is shifted slightly toward 2 o'clock. The six-pointed star at the base of the bust, seen only on this obverse, used in this lone pairing, is perfectly bold. From the famed 1975 EAC Sale.
PCGS# 686420.
