1786 Connecticut Copper. Miller 5.11-R, W-2660. Rarity-5. Mailed Bust Left. EF Details--Damage (PCGS).
140.2 grains. Somewhat rough and tooled medium steel brown surfaces under magnification look quite pleasing from a short distance with a gently glossy appearance. There are no obvious large planchet flaws that are often seen on Connecticuts, though a shallow one can be found at the effigy's neck. A stable brick and green corrosion spot is noted in the left reverse field. A bit problematic, but with decent detail remaining.
PCGS# 686366.
From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier from Heritage's sale of January 2002, lot 9147 (Part).
