BOLIVIA. 8 Scudos, 1840-PTS LR. Potosi Mint. NGC MS-62.
Fr-21; KM-99; Onza-1586. An exquisite Mint State survivor with a stunning degree of original brilliance. This example of the type, so often weakly struck in the center, instead offers a sharp and fully-realized portrait of Bolivar. Some russet patina appears on the reverse rim, but this small distraction only attests to the coin's uncleaned status.
