MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1862-Ho FM. Hermosillo Mint. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, AU Details.
KM-377.9; DP-Ho02. Variety with reeded edge and Sonora cap and eagle. A RARE date overall, this particular variant is noted as the middle of the three described varieties in terms of rarity. This handsome example was confidently struck and largely spared from circulation. Both sides present bold, full strikes that leave little to be desired. A tiny spot of tooling is noted between the eagle's wingtip and legend to the right of the reverse, but this insignificant fault is made even less distracting by the coin's deep cabinet tone.
