1845-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 13-H. VF-20 (PCGS). OGH.
A moderately worn survivor from this popular southern branch mint. More than 90,000 examples came off the dies, making the 1845-D half eagle a great representative issue for the mintmarked type collector. This particular piece offers a deep honey-olive hue and faint races of retained luster. All major design elements are boldly defined, and overall this is a wholesome and handsome example at the VF grade level.
