FRANCE. National Convention. Siege of Lyon. After Cast Brass 6 Sols, ND ("1793") (ca. early-mid 19th Century). Uncertain Mint. PCGS AU-58.
cf. Maz-391 (for original); cf. Rondot-21 (for original in white metal). Rounded plain edge. Diameter: 29.8mm; Weight: 22.51 gms. An example no doubt of fine craftsmanship, this specimen is nevertheless a later issue, featuring some sharper aspects, such as a stippling to the inner field of the obverse.
From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Spink & Son in London, September 1961).
