FRANCE. Constitution. Copper 2 Sols Token Restrike, "Year 1/1792" (ca. mid 19th Century). Birmingham (Soho) Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-64.
cf. Maz-332a (for original strike). Plain edge. By A. Dupré possibly for the Monneron Brothers. Weight: 11.93 gms. Noted by Margolis as a restrike issue, this example displays some evidence of die rust scattered around the devices and within the legends. Deep brown in hue, with an enticing glossiness abounding in the fields.
