Honeybrook, Pennsylvania. $10 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 483. First NB. Charter #1676. PCGS Currency Very Fine 20.
A tiny hamlet located along the very edge of Chester County which for the most part is home to Philadelphia's outer suburbs. Honeybrook is little more than an idyllic locale that was once served by the First National Bank. From 1868 through 1981, the First National Bank served the banking needs of Honeybrook quite well issuing National Currency through 1935. Representative of roughly 9,000 $10 Brown Backs issued; this note is just one of two of its type and denomination recorded by the National Bank Note Census. A great note for a collector who enjoys collecting notes from towns with unusual names.
